These Craft Brewery Towns Have Homes for as Low as $123,100

Many people enjoy wine tasting and travel to specific regions regularly to enjoy different wineries. But it isn’t only wine and wine regions that enjoy a following. Craft beer and the many breweries that have popped up in towns and cities across the United States are also host to visitors and craft beer aficionados, those who perhaps consider themselves beer connoisseurs.

Craft breweries tend to flourish in economically vibrant areas where disposable income, dynamic regulation, and strong community ties help small businesses develop and thrive. Many of the same conditions also enable affordable real estate, creating a wide array of towns where low-cost homes sit just a short amble away from an independent craft brewery. If living near a brewery stimulates your palate, then you’re in luck – these craft brewery towns have affordable homes.

To determine which craft brewery towns have homes for as low as $123,100, Moms Who Think reviewed five-year data on median household value and median household income from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2022 American Community Survey. Cities, towns, and villages were ranked based on the ratio of median home value to median household income.

Only places with at least 1,000 residents with at least four breweries were considered. Data on breweries is from the 2022 County Business Patterns and was aggregated from zip codes to counties using boundary definitions from the Census Bureau.
